Las Vegas Grand Canyon Skywalk Ultimate Helicopter Adventure

August 12th, 2007 by namecritic

The Las Vegas Grand Canyon Skywalk Ultimate Helicopter Adventure is one of the most popular tours leaving from Las Vegas. It isn’t cheap, but it certainly is a thrilling ride, and one to be remembered for a long time to come.

This Las Vegas tour leaves the city in a jet helicopter. You fly past the spectacular Hoover Dam and onto Lake Mead, then you head down to the Grand Canyon. You land at the Colorado river and take a boat ride on a pontoon. After that you get back into the helicopter and rise the 4,000 feet to the top again. Here you have the experience of the Hualapai Tribal Lands.

The really interesting bit is the Grand Canyon Skywalk. This is a glass bridge extending out over the west rim. Walking along the bridge is really strange, for you can see right down past your feet a long way down! Following that, you go to Guano Point for the Hualapai Buffet. Then it’s back on that helicopter to Las Vegas!
