Las Vegas Restaurants, Renoir at the Mirage

September 4th, 2007 by Las Vegas USA Blog

When it opened, Renoir at the Mirage was just a little bit better than most retuarants in Las Vegas. Today it is one of only three restuarants in Las Vegas that has earned the AAA Five Diamond rating. That is how good the Mirage’s Renoir is considered to be.

Of course, the Remoir at the Mirage has one of the finest chefs in the country overseeing all the food, so what other can you expect but high quality! As http://uk.holidaysguide.yahoo.com/ so aptly put it:

“Executive Chef Alessandro Stratta was named one of America’s 10 Best Chefs by Food & Wine, and has several serious culinary awards including the 1998 Best Chef in the Southwest by the James Beard Foundation.”

It’s only to be expected in one of the finest Las Vegas restuarants that Renoir at the Mirage would have something connected to Pierr-Auguste Renoir, the famous impressionist painter. They do!. The restuarant is decked out with a number of original art works by this great man. At the Renoir you can enjoy fine food, and fine art too - an inspiration idea indeed.

What, you may wonder, might you be served at the Renior at the Mirage? According to http://www.mytravelguide.com/ you might enjoy some of the following:

“Entrees include roasted squab, Maine lobster and braised short ribs with horseradish potatoes. Salads include asparagus arranged with grapefruit, topped with citrus vinaigrette. If you have room for dessert, there is the apple and caramel tarte with fromage blanc ice cream.”

Las Vegas restaurants are many and varied. Some are good, some are bad, and some are sublime. Renoir at the Mirage is definitely in the sublime category. Go there and see for yourself!
