You’ll find the Luxor at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. You can’t mistake it – it’s the only pyramid there. And it has the most powerful light beam on earth – a tall 315,000 watt light situated right on the apex of the pyramid.

They claim that it’s there because the ancient Egyptians believed that they would travel to the afterlife on a beam of light. But it’s suspected that they just wanted to boast about having a really bright beam of light. Whatever the truth, it’s still one hell of an impressive sight!

Inside the pyramid you will find the Luxor casino. But before you do you’l gaze in amazement at this spectacular structure. If you take a room in the hotel, as many players do, you probably travel up to it on an elevator, or inclinator, as they are called in the Luxor. That’s because they have to travel upwards on an incline of 39 degrees due to the pyramid sides. This is probably one design aspect that the ancient Egyptian didn’t think through.
