Las Vegas Tourist Blog: Things To Do In Las Vegas

Las Vegas Tours, Valley Of Fire Buggy Tour

The Valley Of Fire Buggy Tour starts when they pick you up from your Las Vegas hotel and take you in an air-conditioned mini-coach to the Valley of Fire for a dune buggy ride.

It starts properly with a safety lesson – pay attention – it’s important. Then you’re free to jump about one of the dune buggies. They come in one-seat, two-seat, or four-seat versions. All the safety equipment that you’ll need is supplied.

Just imagine, cruising through trails suitable for the novice, or for the expert, whichever you feel comfortable with. You might meet some of the local wildlife like big horn sheep, for example, but they won’t bother you.

The Valley of Fire is so called because of its red sand. That’s not reddish sand, but bright red sand. You’ll be kicking up a sand storm with your buggie ride, a red sand storm too. And if you find time, maybe you’ll glance around from time to time to appreciate the world famous rock formations around you.

Did some of the scenery look vaguely familiar? Well, if you watched the early Star Trek episodes you will have seen the Valley of Fire before, for they filmed some of the early stuff right there.

When your time is up after two hours, you’ll break for lunch before being whisked back to Las Vegas and your hotel. But you won’t forget the Valley Of Fire Buggy Tour in a hurry. It’s definitely one of the most memorable of the Las Vegas tours.
