There are 113 hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Among them is the Sahara hotel, the last of the hotels designed and built in an era when the so-called Rat Pack were in town. It’s a hotel that concentrates on splendour and comfort. It’s plush and glamorous and old world taste.
They have redecorated most of the room at the Sahara, but they have kept some to remind older guests of how it once was. They call them Retro Suites and they will take you back to a time when Sinatra and Martin were young and boy bands were thankfully totally unknown.
Comfort oozes from the Sahara. Each room puts you, the guest, firmly in the picture. Morocco is the focus of the culture featured. In fact, you would swear that you wer close to the actual sahara desert if you only closed your eyes a little.
The Sahara has an almost obligatory casino in an area covering 85,000 square feet. All the old favorites are there: blackjack, craps, roulette, etc. They have modern games, slots and sports too. The surrounding decor is every bit as comfortable as the hotel. This is a place to relax…
Then there are the restaurants. The Sahara boast several including, Paco’s Bar and Grill, the House of Lord, and the Sahara Buffet. There is also a roller coaster – Speed: The Ride. It has been designed with just one thing uppermost – speed. This attraction delivers too.
