Las Vegas and Halloween 2007!

October 7th, 2007 by Las Vegas USA Blog

In just a few short weeks it will be Halloween, not just in Las Vegas, but all over the world too. Here in Las Vegas they are geared up and ready for it with shows and attractions to suit everyone. For small children there’s a pumpkin hunt, and for the more sophisticated there the Autumn Arts Festival. But there’s a lot in between too…

A play that will run at the Rainbow Company Youth Theatre is ideal for Halloween, and it’s suitable for eight-year-olds and up. The play is called “My Neighbor, The Monster” and it involves a scary old man living in a creepy house alone. Timmy, the main character, discovers the secret of his strange and frightening neighbor. I can’t say more, so go and see it for yourselves!

For those aged 12 and up there’s Knott’s Scary Farm Trip to see. Knott’s Berry Farm is all Halloween this fall with scary rides and ghosts galore. There’s haunted houses to see, witches and goblins and so much more.

All ages can go along the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center at 101 North Pavilion Center Drive on October 25 from 6pm to 8pm for their Monster Mash Halloween Carnival & Creepy Street. You are invited to wear a costume and there will be spooky games and contests for the small kids, with prizes and candy too. The Creepy Street haunted hallway is for the older kids, and it will require some nerve to face it too.

There’s lots more in Las Vegas this Halloween, like the Monster Mania Carnival and Haunted House, the Pumpkin Slam Contest, the Safe HalloweenFest (which is free), the Halloween Carnival and Goblin Gathering, the Howling Halloween Carnival, and the Pumpkin Party Parade of Costumes, which is also free. There’s a lot happening!
