Las Vegas Restaurants, The Top of the World At The Stratosphere Tower Hotel

Las Vegas Restaurant
The Top of the World at The Stratosphere Tower Hotel is by far the highest restaurant in Las Vegas. It is situated, as its name implies, on top of the Stratosphere Tower more than 105 storey’s up from ground level.

It revolves, of course, as you would expect. And it revolves because it provides the single most stunning view in the country from any restaurant. The Top of the World restautant is not actually on the Strip. It lies north on Las Vegas Boulevard South.

The restaurant opened its doors to the public some ten years ago. Executive Chef Mario Andreoni is the man responsible for the food that people all over gasp in amazement over. And no wonder, for Mario Andreoni has had accolades and awards of all kinds showered on him over the years.

You will need a reservation for your visit to the Top of the World restaurant. The ride up from ground level takes about thirty seconds as you speed upwards at twenty miles an hour. This is an old school restaurant with class. It is sumptuous but not extravagant, stylish but not gaudy.

The service at the Top of the World is excellent - exceptional, in fact. In a world where mediocrity is commonplace, the Top of the World staff shine like a beacon on a dark night in terms of politeness and helpfulness. And the food - do I really need to say that is is simply sublime. It is faultless and everything you would expect from such a quality venue. This quote simply had to be included:

“Top of the World’s desserts in particular deserve special mention, specifically the Chocolate Stratosphere. It is as visually impressive as it is decadent, with the Stratosphere Tower filled with chocolate mousse and served tableside with cascading vanilla sauce.” www.lasvegasrestaurants.com
