Las Vegas is a city with a history of violence, the kind of violence that spawns plenty of spirits trapped between worlds. Here, you´ll find that there are quite a few haunted places and some fascinating stories. Here are just a few to whet your appetite:
In the hotel Circus Circus, apparently a young woman, desperate and alone with her small son decided to end it all. She took a gun and shot her child before turning it on herself. According to the legend, the mother and child still roam the hotel, searching for the boy´s father. This hotel is actually considered to be very haunted, another employee once claimed that 3 kitchen staff were murdered in one night and that their ghosts are still there, as well.
The Flamingo Hotel was founded by the mobster Bugsy Segal and he was said to haunt his hotel frequently after his death. Several staff members actually quit after seeing his apparition hanging out in the hotel and guests claimed to have seen him near the pool, too.
Another supposedly haunted hotel is the Luxor, where two construction workers died in a tragic accident while working on the impressive pyramid. They are now ghosts that wander the Egyptian themed hotel, appearing occasionally to guests.
Years ago, the MGM Grand burned to the ground. It was rebuilt, but cleaning staff working the late shift have reported seeing the ghosts of the guests who burned to death, still laying in the beds in some of the rooms.
There are plenty more ghost stories associated with Las Vegas. Having started as a gold mining town and a place for gamblers and settlers, the city has a wild history and a violent past, making it the perfect place to find plenty of ghosts.
