The Grand Canyon was carved out by the Colorado River over a 6 million year period and reveals the many layers of colorful rock in the beautiful cliffs. The area was originally inhabited by Native Americans who considered the Grand Canyon to be a sacred place and made pilgrimages there.

Major John Wesley Powell was the first person to really explore the Grand Canyon. You might say it was the first Las Vegas tour! These days a Las Vegas tour to the Grand Canyon isn´t nearly as dangerous, Major Powell lost three men when he traversed the rough waters of the Colorado River!

Take a Las Vegas tour to the Hualapai Indian Nation Airport and then you´ll continue on in a bus, with a Hualapai Indian tour guide to point out the most interesting sights and give you more historical background on the people who once lived in this region. The bus stops at several photo areas where you can get some gorgeous photos and then you´ll enjoy a BBQ on the West Rim. You may even want to talk a stroll out onto the Skywalk, an amazing walkway that hangs out over the middle of the Canyon, allowing for a whole new view!
