Las Vegas is surrounded by impressive valleys and canyons. One of the biggest attractions in this area is the Grand Canyon, of course, with it´s deep cut cliffs and crystalline blue Colorado River. Just take a look at Ancient Valley. This Las Vegas attraction is one that very few people realize exists, which makes it that much more intriguing. In this amazing valley, you´ll find the remains of trees that grew here thousands of years ago and have now turned to stone. You can even stop and search out your own little piece of petrified wood to take home as a souvenir, if you like.
While you will want to check out the Grand Canyon while you´re in Nevada, it´s a good idea to take a Las Vegas tour to other attractions like Ancient Valley. This valley has its own allure that is very different from the vast expanse of the Grand Canyon. The best way to see it is by taking a Hummer out into the desert . . . a truly exciting adventure that will set the mood for your entire vacation in Las Vegas!
