Lake Mead is big Las Vegas attraction. Sitting behind the Hoover Dam, you´ll see this blue reservoir lake on most Las Vegas tours to the Grand Canyon or the dam. It is the largest man made lake in the States and was named after Elwood Mead who played an important part in the planning and commissioning of the dam and lake.

These days, this Las Vegas attraction is one that brings people from all over the states it spans, Nevada and Arizona, as well as further away.
