Las Vegas attractions tend to require quite a bit of movement whether you like it or not. Just hiking up and down the Strip is a lot of exercise for many and just inside the massive casinos, you will find yourself being pretty active. However, that´s nothing compared to our next Las Vegas attraction . . . Lake Mead.
At Lake Mead, you won´t just be admiring the view, though there is plenty of that to go around. The Hoover Dam is right there for you to check out, but the cool waters of the lake are the focal point of this Las Vegas attraction! While swimming is just fine, you can also rent a kayak and go exploring.
This lake was created when the Hoover Dam was built, so it´s a man-made lake that offers a lot of area to cover. Depending on the amount of water being let through the dam, the lake´s water level fluctuates quite a bit and there are times when you can even see one of the towns that was flooded out in this valley. There were several small towns that were abandoned for the purposes of creating the dam, but most are hidden in the depths of the lake.
