There are a lot of Las Vegas hotels to choose from, even if you narrow your choices to just the Strip. Deciding which one to stay at can be rather difficult, so I´ll make things a little easier for you by narrowing the choices down to the most comfortable hotels in Las Vegas.
The Wynn is renowned for their spacious rooms, with a standard room coming in at 640 square feet. They are also known for the incredibly comfy beds they provide in each and every room. The most famous Las Vegas hotels have been around for a long time, but gradually, they are getting phased out to make room for newer, sleeker accomodations. In recent years, the Aladdin, Landmark and Sands hotels have all been demolished. Earlier this year, the Stardust, home to many Las Vegas hotel memories, was imploded and now the New Frontier Hotel and Casino has gone the way of so many others.
The New Frontier was imploded on November 13 by the Elad Group, which bought the Las Vegas hotel for the express purpose of removing it and building a new, bigger and better hotel in its place. The Plaza-style hotel that will be going up in the space is to have over 3,500 rooms and is budgeted to run about 5 million U.S. dollars.
While it´s exciting to see new Las Vegas hotels that feature the luxury we´ve come to expect of the city, it´s nice to check out some of the older hotels on the Strip, too, before they are demolished. If you fancy a stay in an original Las Vegas hotel, you might try the Boulder Station Hotel and Casino, the Sahara or the Flamingo, all of which have seen more than a few years on the Strip.
If you are looking for a beautiful place to enjoy your stay in Las Vegas, you might want to consider the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel, a very unique Las Vegas hotel. With its beautiful curved architecture, this hotel is absolutely gorgeous to look at. It reflects the hot Las Vegas sun with a bronze-tinted glass shield.
So, in a city of unique hotels, why does the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel stand out? Well, it all begins with the lake. The hotel sits on the shore of a 3 acre lake that sports a cascading waterfall that pours down the side of a man-made, tree covered mountain, creating a natural feel in the middle of Las Vegas.
While the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel isn´t in the middle of the Strip (it´s right at the end), it is just across the street from the best Las Vegas shopping experience ever, the Fashion Show Mall, where you can shop till you drop. As a guest, you also get to golf on the adjacent golf course.
The Wynn Las Vegas Hotel is definitely a high class hotel and well worth springing for. Enjoy a little luxury on your Vegas spree and you won´t regret it.

This massive hotel has over 5,000 rooms and suites and has hosted some major concerts by such famous singers as Barbara Streisland, groups like Pearl Jam and shows by David Copperfield among others.
The Las Vegas hotel is currently hosting KA, an imaginative production by Cirque du Soleil which includes everything from acrobatic feats to pyrotechnics and puppets. It´s worth stopping by the MGM Grand just to see this amazing show before leaving Las Vegas.
The MGM Grand stands out from other Las Vegas hotels mainly because of its size, but also because of the variety of attractions within. You can shop for hours in the mini mall, enjoy a massage or facial at the full service spa, surf the net or enjoy a workout in the on-site gym. But in addition to these amenities and the shows, this Las Vegas hotel offers a special lion habitat where you can walk through a glass tunnel that runs right through the big cats´ territory.
If none of that interests you, perhaps a dip in one of five pools nestled in a tropical coconut grove? At the Las Vegas MGM Grand hotel, there is truly something for everyone.
While many people want to stay in a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, that is not always the ideal place to be. Often, a hotel that is off the beaten path will be quieter and more tranquil, especially at night. One such hotel is the Boulder Station Hotel.

Shows are nightly.
The Las Vegas Golden Nugget Hotel offers the unique perspective of being able to look down on Fremont Street, as it stands 22 stories tall. The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas is your opportunity to experience Egypt without need of a passport. The Las Vegas hotel is built in the form of a pyramid, with a modern twist . . . it is completely made of glass. The Luxor Hotel is at the very end of the Strip, and is connected to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, offering spa experiences for those more interested in relaxing than gambling.
You´ll know this famous Las Vegas hotel by the ten story Sphinx out front, with a massive, black glass pyramid that stands 30 stories high. There are also two bronze glass monoliths that finish the Egyptian theme off . . . at least on the outside!
There are over 4,400 guest rooms at the Las Vegas Luxor Hotel and each one is Egypt-themed, with Art Deco style and a beige color theme. For an extra special stay, ask for a room that has jets in the tub. The entrance to the hotel is something else, even if you don´t stay there, it is well worth a visit to see the replica of King Tut´s tomb, complete with sarcophagus and pottery, as well as imitations of the original garden statues.
Part of the appeal of Las Vegas hotels is the amazing luxury that you can experience, even if only for a weekend. And one of the best hotels to feel pampered in is the Las Vegas Platinum Hotel and Spa. A rarity in the casino-laden world of Vegas, The Platinum Hotel and Spa is a non-gaming property.
For anyone who likes to get away from the noise of the casino floor, this is a great hotel to do so. Though Las Vegas is often considered to be an adult destination, there are plenty of families who visit, as well. Some Las Vegas hotels are more family friendly than others, having realized that this is a growing tourist market and have begun to offer certain amenities created specifically for children.
Travelodge Las Vegas South Strip offers affordable rooms for the whole family, no matter what size. They have a pool for the kiddies and the hotel is less than a mile from the famous New York, New York Hotel with its exciting roller coaster.
The Orleans Hotel and Casino is one of the finest casinos in Las Vegas and you´ll be free to try your hand at blackjack because this Las Vegas hotel offers supervised children´s activities in their Kid´s Tyme Facility. Contrary to popular belief, not all Las Vegas hotels are purely for adult entertainment. So, bring your kids and the whole family can have a blast, enjoying the sights and sounds of Las Vegas hotels that are family friendly.

Of course, it just wouldn´t be a Las Vegas hotel if you couldn´t see a show or two! The Sahara has not one, not two, but three entertainment venues, so you can pick and choose your shows. They are called the Congo Room, The Sahara Theater and the Casbar Lounge.
The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has no less than 13 notable restaurants and cafes, and even an Irish pub. Canal Street is its steak and seafood restaurant. Prime Rib is one of its specialities, all in a distinctively New Orleans style.
Prime Rib Loft is definitely the best for prime rib in this hotel. This restaurant overlooks the casino area and you need to be serious about eating prime rib to eat here. Of course, ther are other items on the menu too, as well as excellent service and a “comfortable and attractive ambience,” to quote the web site.

This is where much of the legendary Rat Pack action took place. They are all gone now and new entertainers have taken over. But will the new ones be remembered as much as Sinatra, Davis, Martin, et al? Probably not, but we can’t wallow in the past forever. Time moves on, and the Riviera has certainly moved with it.
